How to get to Shizuoka

(1)From Tokyo to Shizuoka

You can take a bullet train (Tokaido Shinkansen) for Osaka (Kyoto, Nagoya), ''Hikari" or '' Kodama" super express *. You will arrive at Shizuoka station in 65 min. (Hikari) or in 90 min. (Kodama).

(2)From Nagoya (Kyoto, Osaka) to Shizuoka

You can take a bullet train (Tokaido Shinkansen) for Tokyo, ''Hikari" or '' Kodama" super express *. You will arrive at Shizuoka station in 66 min. (110 min., 128min.) by Hikari and in 86 min. (144 min., 161 min.) by Kodama.

* Note that most of Hikari trains do not stop at Shizuoka station. However, Kodama trains always stop at Shizuoka station. The Hikari trains which stop at Shizuoka station are only one per hour.

How to get from JR Shizuoka station to Univeraity of Shizuoka

Please follow either of the ways given below: A), B), or C). We recommend the way (A)

(A1) Take a train (5 minutes, 180 yen) from JR Shizuoka station to JR Kusanagi station.

(A2) Then, walk to University of Shizuoka (15 minutes) from JR Kusanagi station.

(B) Take a train ''Shizuoka-tetsudou" to ''Ken-ritsu-bijyutsukan-mae (Art Museum station)" (15 minutes, 170 yen) or ''Kusanagi station" (17 minutes, 190 yen) from Shin-Shizuoka station.
